HONOR THY FATHER

Great forum

David found a great forum to honor his father Lee L. Douglas, an internationally recognized helicopter pioneer.  He found a home and friends at the American Helicopter Museum to help him in his quest to honor his father’s memory, and legacy and also to keep his promise to his mother, who shared his dream and goals.

Family Campaign Honors Helicopter Pioneers

David Douglas, son of Lee Douglas, and the Douglas Family contributed to the Helicopter Families Campaign which offers opportunities to designate major architectural features in the name of a family member.  Our “Helicopter Families” campaign  captured, preserved and protects the life stories, records and artifacts of those who committed significant portions of their lives to rotary wing aviation.  “I recognized that no other institution in the U.S. is better postured to offer this important service to the families of helicopter pioneers,” says David.
